Sitalk AI Chat Application Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "this Policy") constitutes a contract between the Sitalk AI Chat Application (hereinafter "Sitalk" or "We") and users of Sitalk’s services (hereinafter "You"). It defines the scope, methods, and rules governing Our collection, use, storage, and sharing of Your personal information, while safeguarding Your legitimate privacy rights. Before downloading, installing, or using Sitalk’s services, You are required to carefully read and fully comprehend all terms herein; using Sitalk’s services shall be deemed as Your acceptance of this Policy and consent to Our processing of Your personal information in accordance with its provisions.

1. Information We Collect

To provide stable, high-quality AI chat services and ensure service security, We collect information generated during Your use of the service within a necessary scope, which includes:

1.1 Device and Usage Environment Information

When You use Sitalk, We automatically gather basic device data, such as device model, operating system (OS) version, unique identifiers (e.g., IMEI, Android ID, IDFA), IP address, network type (Wi-Fi or mobile data), and browser type (if accessing via the web). This information is solely used to adapt to different device environments and optimize service compatibility, and it has no direct connection to Your real identity.

1.2 Service Usage Records

To enhance the AI interaction experience and improve service functions, We collect usage-related data, including chat records between You and Sitalk (text and voice-to-text content; original voice files are not included), function operation logs (such as clicks, queries, and content generation commands), and service usage duration and frequency. Chat records are only used to understand Your needs and enhance AI response accuracy—they will never be used for unrelated purposes.

1.3 Voluntarily Provided Information

If You share information (e.g., contact email, problem descriptions) when using specific functions (such as submitting feedback or requesting service support), We will collect such information exclusively to address Your needs. After Your needs are resolved, the information will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with legal regulations or Your request.

2. Purposes of Information Use

The collected information is only used for the following legitimate objectives, and will not exceed the scope necessary for providing services:

1. Service Provision and Optimization: We use device information to adapt the service’s operating environment, analyze Your needs and preferences based on usage records, improve the accuracy of AI responses, and refine service functions (e.g., adding features that meet high-demand needs);

2. Security Assurance: We identify abnormal behaviors (such as malicious attacks and bulk service abuse) through IP addresses and device identifiers, mitigate potential risks, and protect the security of Your account (if applicable) and data;

3. User Support: We utilize the contact information and feedback You voluntarily provide to respond to Your inquiries, complaints, or service requests in a timely manner;

4. Legal Compliance: We use or retain information as required by laws and regulatory authorities, and cooperate with legitimate inquiries from relevant authorities.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We take strict measures to protect Your information and will never sell or rent Your personal data to any third party. Information sharing or disclosure will only occur under the following limited circumstances, and appropriate security measures will be implemented:

1. With Your Explicit Consent: For instance, sharing Your feedback with Our technical partners to help resolve Your issues;

2. Legal or Regulatory Requirements: Providing information to authorities (such as courts and regulatory agencies) when legally obligated to do so;

3. Protection of Rights: Disclosing information in a reasonable manner (e.g., sharing fragments of usage records related to infringement with affected users) to protect Sitalk, You, or other users from fraud or infringement;

4. Cooperative Processing: For functions supported by cooperative partners (such as server storage and technical maintenance), We sign confidentiality agreements with these partners, requiring them to use the information only for service delivery and prohibiting them from re-disclosing it to any other party.

4. Information Storage and Protection

4.1 Storage Method and Duration

Your information is stored on secure servers (including Our own servers and compliant third-party cloud servers) located in regions that meet data protection standards. The storage of information adheres to the "minimum necessary" principle:

 Device and usage information: Stored for the duration of Your use of the service; if You do not use Sitalk for 12 consecutive months, the information will be automatically anonymized (identifiers linked to Your identity will be deleted, and only desensitized data for statistical analysis will be retained);

 Chat records: Stored by default until You clear them or uninstall the service, and You can manually delete them at any time through the in-app settings;

 Voluntarily provided information: Deleted within 30 days after Your needs are resolved, unless legal regulations require its retention.

4.2 Security Measures

We implement both technical and management safeguards to prevent information leakage, loss, or abuse:

 Technical safeguards: Encrypt information (using SSL/TLS for transmission encryption and AES for storage encryption), implement access control (only authorized personnel can access the information), and conduct regular security vulnerability scans and penetration tests;

 Management safeguards: Establish information security management systems, provide security training and background checks for employees who have access to information, and define standards for information processing and accountability mechanisms.

Despite these measures, please note that Internet services inherently carry certain risks. If information leakage occurs due to factors beyond Our control (such as force majeure, cyberattacks, or malicious acts by third parties), We will take immediate remedial actions and notify You and relevant regulatory authorities in accordance with legal requirements.

5. Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights regarding Your personal information through the methods specified below:

1. Inquiry and Correction: You can check Your device information and usage records via "Settings - Privacy Center"; if You find errors in the information (e.g., incorrect contact information You provided), You can correct it directly on the relevant page or contact Our customer service for assistance;

2. Deletion: You can manually delete chat records or apply to delete device information and usage records (by submitting an application through customer service); We will process Your application and provide a response within 7 working days, excluding information that must be retained in accordance with legal regulations;

3. Withdrawal of Consent: If You no longer want Us to collect a specific type of information (e.g., usage records), You can stop using the relevant service (e.g., cease initiating AI chats) or disable the corresponding permissions through Your device’s system settings (e.g., prohibiting Sitalk from accessing device identifiers). Please note that this may cause some service functions to work improperly;

4. Complaints and Suggestions: If You have objections to information processing or believe that Your privacy rights have been violated, You can contact Us using the information provided below to file a complaint; We will provide a reply and resolve the issue within 15 working days.

6. Policy Modification and Notification

We may update this Policy due to service changes or legal updates. Modified terms will be notified to You via in-app pop-ups or announcements (e.g., "Settings - About - Privacy Policy"). Your continued use of Sitalk’s services after the policy modification shall be deemed as Your acceptance of the modified content; if You do not agree to the modification, You should stop using the service immediately.

7. Other Terms

1. This Policy only applies to Sitalk. For third-party platforms (such as cooperative websites or applications) linked through Sitalk, their own privacy policies shall apply—We recommend that You review these policies before using their services;

2. Minors (under 18 years of age) must use Sitalk under the guidance and with the consent of a guardian, and guardians shall be responsible for managing matters related to the protection of minors’ information;

3. This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict of laws rules). Any disputes arising from this Policy shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may initiate legal proceedings with the people’s court that has jurisdiction over Our location.
